Ukraine current history and events, a discussion with 2014-2015 exchange student Katya Pailukh, March 17, 2022

On Thursday, March 17th, Kateryna (Katya) Paliukh, presented the history of Ukraine and her personal experiences of the current crisis there to all high school advisories. Kateryna was born in Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine and came to Cape Elizabeth High School as an exchange student during the 2014-2015 school year.

Katya currently resides in British Columbia, Canada and was thrilled to be invited to return virtually to the town she called home for a year, fondly recalling the welcoming spirit and energy of Cape Elizabeth High School and the CE community. Many thanks Katya, moderators Claire McDonald and Zofia Leary-Forrey, the public speaking class for setting up our first and only school-wide assembly this year, and all students who submitted questions ahead of time or during the presentation.
